Meet Dr. Dennis Olin
Dr. Olin earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis in 1972 and continued his advanced ophthalmology training at UC Davis. His residency training also included study at Stanford Medical School and the University of California Medical School in Sacramento.
In 1976, Dr. Olin became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO). Today, he continues to bring more than five decades of veterinary ophthalmology experience to patients and referring veterinarians in the Stockton area.
Veterinary Eye Conditions & Diagnostics
Dr. Olin evaluates and treats a wide range of eye conditions, including:

Dr. Olin also has a particular interest in EDTA chelation for corneal calcium deposits. For appropriate patients, this treatment may provide a nonsurgical approach to addressing calcium deposits affecting the cornea. An ophthalmic examination can help determine whether chelation or another treatment option is appropriate for your pet.
Throughout surgical care, careful anesthetic monitoring, postoperative pain management, and patient comfort remain important priorities.
Eye Screening for Breeding Dogs
Dr. Olin also provides ophthalmic screening for inherited eye disorders, including Companion Animal Eye Registry (CAER) examinations.
These specialized eye examinations can help identify observable inherited ocular conditions and may be an important part of responsible breeding programs.
