A California native, Dr. Dennis Olin developed an interest in veterinary medicine at a young age while working for a local veterinarian. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis in 1972 and went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at UC Davis in 1976, where he was the university’s first resident in ophthalmology.
Dr. Olin’s advanced ophthalmology training also included study at Stanford Medical School and the University of California Medical School in Sacramento. In 1976, he became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO), earning board certification in veterinary ophthalmology.
With more than 50 years of experience in veterinary ophthalmology, Dr. Olin has dedicated much of his career to diagnosing and treating eye conditions in companion animals. His extensive training and decades of experience allow Village Veterinary Hospital to provide specialized ophthalmic care for pets right here in Stockton.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Olin enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his interests beyond the hospital.
